If you are a Marvel fan What if…? animated series, here’s a new one Star Wars entries you might find interesting. According to Scoper Daniele RichtmannLucasfilm is developing its own What if…? inspired Star Wars series.

There are really no details to share and it’s not specified whether it will be animated or live-action, but I assume it will be animated as it will be easier for casting and also easier to explore some of the wild “what ifs…” ideas that the team creative proposes.

I think a show like this would be amazing! There are so many crazy ideas they could play with in the Star Wars universe, and it could be a lot of fun!

What if…? director and executive producer Bryan Andrews revealed that he wanted to do a Star Wars and the Marvel crossover, but Marvel Studios rejected that request. He said:

“I believe Kevin [Feige] he really doesn’t want to cross certain waterways. But we made a proposal… We actually had a crossover between Star Wars and Marvel.

“So I think it’s absolutely doable. I just don’t know if [Feige] he wants to cross those streams, but it’s really fun. Once you understand why, you say, “Oh, that… oh, right!” It makes perfect sense. It won’t rain on anyone’s parade. But it was just a love letter to old-school Star Wars. And it was fantastic. And I don’t know if we’ll ever be able to do that. But we thought about these things.”

What do you think about the possibility of Lucasfilm developing its own What If…? Star Wars series? What are some of your ideas for What If…? stories set in the galaxy far, far away, far away?
