Jeremy Renner is officially back on the set of his Showtime/Paramount+ drama, Mayor of Kingtown, as it began filming its third season. Renner shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the show, marking his first return to work since the snowplow accident that nearly took his life just over a year ago. One of his co-stars in the series, Emma Lairdshared a photo last week celebrating the cast’s return, but below you can see the post Renner shared with fans to mark the occasion.
Renner and Laird join the cast of Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Nishi Munshi AND Hamish Allan-Headley also star.
The series follows the McLusky family, power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where the incarceration business is the only thriving industry. Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series offers a raw look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a city that has neither.
