Wilson Fisk actor Vincent D’Onofrio says ECHO will explain how he survived being shot in HAWKEYE

Wilson Fisk is one of Marvel’s most formidable villains. This current iteration, starring Vincenzo D’Onofriohe first appeared in the Netflix series Recklesswhich is returning in the form of Daredevil: Born Again. But we had no idea we would meet the character again in the limited series Hawk eye, which led to his killing by Maya Lopez, aka Echo. It seemed like that might have been the big bad character’s undoing, but as D’Onofrio told TVLine:

“If you’re a fan of Kingpin and Daredevil – the old comics – you know that Kingpin never dies. We just had to find a clever way to do it [moving] starting from that shot towards the face and the way we brought it into Echo, we came up with something really interesting. He gets hurt pretty badly.

The character will now wear an eye patch, as a result of the gunshot wound. But it doesn’t look like that’s going to slow him down much, as he plans to appear in all of them EchoThen Daredevil: Born Againand is also said to play a role in Spider-Man 4. It will be nice to see how they explain it though. Not that they have to do much to explain why a Marvel villain survived a gunshot wound. They have survived worse.

Echo released the entire five-episode series on Disney+ on January 9 and Daredevil: Born Again will be released in 2025 or 2026.
