Marvel Insider says Kevin Feige may be looking for a cast [Rumor] as Kang the Conqueror after Jonathan Majors was fired

A few weeks ago, Marvel fired the actor Jonathan Majors from the future projects they had in mind for him, as the MCU was building towards his character Kang the Conqueror as the next Thanos-like big bad. Majors had played the character in Loki series, as well as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, where we saw a bit of his backstory. She would continue acting Avengers: The Kang Dynastyand probably a few other titles between here and there, but now that he’s out of the picture, it’s left us wondering if the character would be recast or if the MCU would pivot to another storyline.

A Marvel insider gave us an answer to this question, but for now it’s all rumors, so take them with a grain of salt. ComicBook reports it according to insider Daniel Richtman, actor Colman Domingo is “an option” to replace Majors, but stresses that it is still early.

Domingo is an award-winning actor, writer and director, appearing in Fear the walking dead, Lincoln, Selma, If Beale Street Could TalkAND Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Most recently, she won acclaim for playing the lead role in a biographical drama, Rustin.

At 54, Domingo is a bit older than Majors, but since the Multiverse is full of different variations of Kang, recasting this role is actually easier than some others would be.

As for the next Avengers movie, that’s believed to be the case The Kang Dynasty the subtitle has been deleted and the project is internally named as Avengers 5 at the moment. It remains to be seen to what extent the current story will be changed, but Marvel will revamp it Secret Wars part 1 seems increasingly likely.

Insider Jeff Sneider heard it”Secret Wars it’s basically shaping up to be a giant five-hour movie with a one-year gap,” similar to how endless war AND End of the game played. As we know, the writer Loki Michele Waldron was hired to write a new draft, but reports indicate that the events of Loki Season 2 will still inform the main plot, meaning Kang would remain as the central character.

Richtman also heard that, despite rumors to the contrary, Doctor Doom was never in a position to replace Kang as the new big bad of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and would (and may still be) a secondary villain in upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Avengers.

This is obviously just a rumor for now, and if Domingo is a possibility to take Kang’s place, I’m sure there are others in talks as well.
