That was fast. It seems some people were ready for Mickey Mouse to enter the public domain and the first trailer for the Mickey Mouse-themed slasher horror film has been released. Mickey’s Mousetrap. This will surely be the first of many really bad horror films to be made featuring an evil version of Walt Disney’s iconic character. The film features a killer disguised as The steamboat Willieit’s the version of Mickey Mouse running around an amusement park killing people.
In Mickey’s Mousetrap“It’s Alex’s 21st birthday, but she’s stuck in the arcade during the last shift, so her friends decide to surprise her, but a masked killer dressed as Mickey Mouse decides to play a game of his own with them which she will have to survive.”
The film was directed by Jamie Bailey who tells The Hollywood Reporter: “We just wanted to have fun with it all. I mean, it is The steamboat WillieMickey Mouse kills people. He’s ridiculous. We put in the effort and had fun doing it and I think it shows.
This thing is obviously just a quick and stupid money grab. They saw it Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey movie and are attempting to do the same thing with Mickey Mouse and turn him into a sadistic murderer. He’s so stupid, but people will watch him!
This is the second Mickey Mouse-themed horror project to be announced. The first was a video game called Infestation 88.
Movie stars Sophie McIntosh, Callum Sywyk, Allegra Nocita, Ben Harris, Damir Kovic, Mackenzie Mills, Nick Biskupek AND Simone Phillips.
