X-MEN ’97 Episode Titles Revealed

Marvel’s highly anticipated first season X-Men ’97 the animated series will consist of 10 episodes and the titles of those episodes have been shared online. These titles offer a more in-depth look at what we can expect from the first season of the show.

The following list of titles was provided by Scooper CWGST, and if you’re familiar with the X-Men comics, you might be able to pick up on a few things. Here are the titles:

Episode 1: To me, to my X-Men

Episode 2: The liberation of the mutants begins

Episode 3: Fire made flesh

Episode 4: Motendo

Episode 5: Remember This

Episode 6: Bright Eyes

Episode 7: Shine with the Force Reborn

Episode 8: Tolerance Is Extinction – Part 1

Episode 9: Tolerance is Extinction – Part 2

Episode 10: Tolerance is Extinction – Part 3

The three-part finale of the series was previously teased and it was explained that Nathan Summers aka Cable will return and the X-Men will clash with Mister Sinister, Bastion and a deadly new horde of Sentinels.

It has also been reported that there is a video game-inspired episode that will see Jubilee and her boyfriend, Sunspot, trapped in a 16-bit Mojo video game on her birthday. It is said that part of this episode will be animated in the style of a 16-bit video game.

The official synopsis for the series reads: “Storm and Wolverine try to continue the X-Men. Magneto arrives and wants to step up for Charles Xavier. Sinister arrives to try to end the X-Men once and for all.”

The series begins with Magneto and the X-Men after Professor X leaves for Shi’ar space in the series finale of the original show. The series brings back the original voice cast included Cal Dodd (Glutton), Lenore Zann (Rascal), Giorgio Buzza (Beast), Alison Sealy-Smith (Storm), Chris Potter (Gambitto), Catherine Disher (Jean Grey), Adrian Hough (Nightcrawler) e Christopher Britton (Left Minister).

The series has been described as “a spiritual and tonal continuation of the classic ’90s series that aired on Fox” and a “retro love letter to the original”.

Beau De Mayo is the head writer and executive producer of X-Men ’97. Jake Castorena is the supervising director and Charley Feldmann is the supervising producer. X-Men ’97 is currently scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in 2024. Season 2 is also currently in development.
