A year ago we reported that the Star Wars series The Boba Fett book Season 2 was in production on Disney+, but there’s been nothing but crickets since then. When the first season was released in 2021, it was intended as a limited series, but after a solid audience and stars like Ming-Na Wenwho plays bounty hunter Fennec Shand, expressing her hope to return to the role, it seemed like a second season was very much on the horizon.
But a year has passed, and so has the show’s title star, Temuera Morrisonsays he hasn’t heard anything about the show’s return.
Morrison said in an interview with Newshub:
“No word yet. I don’t even know if there’s going to be a second season. I don’t know what’s going on. We’re coming out of this downtime, so I think everyone’s settling in and all that.” it goes back to budgets, what they want to do and how much everything costs. Really, I do not know. Judging by the fans I’ve met, they all want a second season of Boba Fett, but I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
The first season of The Boba Fett book says “an emotional Star Wars the adventure was teased in a surprise credits sequence following the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, [which] finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to reclaim territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.
Are you hoping for a second season of the series?
