Universal removes next Jordan Peele film from studio schedule for 2024

Earlier in the year, it was announced that Universal had given the director a Christmas Day 2024 release date Jordan Peele for his next film project. This would be the fourth film of his directorial career, following his successes Go out, WeAND No. But the announcement came before writers and actors went on a month-long strike this summer, resulting in most projects getting their release dates pushed back. This Untitled Peele project was just one casualty.

Thankfully the film is still in the works, we just won’t be seeing it on Christmas Day 2024. Little is known about the next film, which is on par with the director, who tends to keep his projects under wraps while they’re being made. Done. However, it makes us wonder if this would have been a Christmas-themed horror film. I know that with Peele at the helm, the quality would have been much higher than the Christmas slasher movies we’ve seen.

This film will go into production in 2024 and we hope to have some news about it soon. Peele is also busy working on the recently announced video game collaboration he’s doing with Hideo Kojima on the new horror game “OD,” which Kojima describes as an “immersive, totally new style of game” that will explore “what OD means on Fear.” The game begins Sofia Lillis, Hunter SchaeferAND Udo Kier.

Peele and his Monkeypaw Productions will also produce a remake Wes Cravenis a crazy horror film from 1991 People under the stairs. Destiny Patrol AND Night sky screenwriter Ezra Claytan Daniels has signed on to write the screenplay for the film, which will be made by Universal Pictures. The story follows two adults and a child who break into a house occupied by a brother and sister and their kidnapped children. There they have to fight for their lives.

Are you looking forward to Jordan Peele’s next original film?
