Ethan Hawke he really wants to be cast in a role Star Wars project! He’s a huge fan of the franchise and while speaking on the TODAY show, Hawke was asked about his desire to be in a Star Wars film or series, and the actor said: “It didn’t work! I’ve said it on every talk show, thinking I’ll get it [cast]. I published it, but it was of no use.”
He went on to say he would play “Obi-Wan’s best friend” or whatever role he was offered, Hawke added: “I’ll do whatever they want. Give me a lightsaber. I’ll be a bad guy, I’ll be a good guy, I don’t care.
It would be fun to see Hawke enter the Star Wars universe, but Lucasfilm doesn’t have a role for him to play… yet. When previously there was talk of wanting to join aa Star Wars project, he said, “Isn’t that great? I mean, I gave a tough public presentation! I know, and I see all these amazing people in these things and I could have played that part. I could have played that part. I guess some people up there don’t like me.”
He then took a more optimistic stance, saying, “I think they’re on to something. What makes me feel better is that I think they’ve got something really good in mind.”
Lucasfilm should bring Hawke into the franchise! There must be an interesting character to play! I mean, he doesn’t need Star Wars, but obviously he wants to have fun playing in the sandbox!
