This week’s retro trailer is for the 1983 sci-fi fantasy adventure film Yor: The hunter from the future and this movie is completely bonkers!
This cult film was directed by Antonio Margheriti, the film follows the main character, Yor, played by Reb Brown, a primitive warrior, who embarks on a journey through a prehistoric world full of danger and mystery, armed with his trusty weapon and accompanied by companions like Ka-Laa and Pag, played respectively by Corinne Cléry and Luciano Pigozzi.
As Yor traverses this dangerous landscape, he discovers remnants of advanced technology and encounters various tribes and creatures. With his unmatched strength and unwavering determination, Yor sets out to uncover the truth about his origins and face a looming threat that could change the fate of his world.
The film has a very campy and adventurous tone, and fans appreciate it for that, along with its over-the-top action sequences, cheesy special effects, and memorable jokes. Enjoy the trailer!
