James Gunn he threw Pom Klementieff AND Miriam Shor in his next DC Studios film Superman: Legacy. Both previously worked with Gunn on Guardians of the Galaxy with Klementieff playing Mantis in the MCU, while Shor appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as Recorder Vim, one of The High Evolutionary’s henchmen.
Unfortunately, it has not been revealed who they will play in the film. They will join the previous cast David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Isabela Mercede as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mr. Terrific, Skyler Gisondo like Jimmy Olsen, and María Gabriela de Faría in the role of Angela Spica, aka The Engineer.
The film will have a huge cast, and the director recently defended this quote: “What movie with a single protagonist doesn’t have more than ten speaking roles?” asked Gunn. “There will be more.”
Superman: Legacy will tell the story of “Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”
Superman: Legacy will launch the cinematic portion of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1. The theatrical release is scheduled for July 11, 2025.
