Ryan Reynolds’ new comedy project Heist acquired by Netflix after bidding war in Hollywood

Ryan Reynolds has a global heist comedy project he’s developing, and after a major bidding war in Hollywood, Netflix ended up winning the deal and acquired the project. The project ended up selling for seven figures. Reynolds will also return to collaborate Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy, who will direct the film.

The screenplay was written by Dana Fox AND Simone Kinberg is producing alongside Reynolds. The film doesn’t have a title or story details yet, but according to Deadline, it “has great parts for an ensemble in the spirit of a movie.” Ocean’s Eleven. It is also set internationally. The idea came from Fox and Kinberg, who presented it to Reynolds and Maximum Effort.”

Reynolds and Kinberg worked together in the past on Deadpool for which they are both producers. They are currently filming Deadpool 3and Reynolds will arrive on his next project within the next two years.
