Neon and Universal Pictures Content Group released the first trailer for Brett Morgen’s Oscar-nominated movie today. Lunar Age Dream– David Bowie’s first real estate certified document is on display today in the midnight screening section of the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
The five-year film covers not only Bowie’s life, but also the life of the genius who worked in various disciplines, especially music and film, as well as the genius who explored art forms such as dance, painting and sculpture throughout his life. Video and audio collage, script, performance and live theatre. The movie showcases the icon with his own voice and features 48 music tracks remixed from his original roots.
Morgen was a writer, director, editor and producer. Lunar Age DreamIt is produced by Hartwig Masuch, Katie Rivkin-Daum and Justus Haderder for BMG, Michael Rapino, Heather Perry and Ryan Crawf, Bill Zizblatt, Tom Sirana, Aisha Cohen and Eileen D’Ars for Live Nation Productions. Gerber and Debra Eisenstadt. BMG and Live Nation Productions also sponsored the film. Neon will distribute it in the US, while UPCG will release it internationally. HBO Documentary Films owns broadcast and cable rights in North America in spring 2023.
Bowie’s estate gave Morgen unfiltered access to his personal files, including all of Bowie’s important records, in 2017. Check out the movie trailer above.
