A24 has released the first trailer for Alex Garland’s upcoming action thriller Civil war. The film is set in the near future and the story revolves around the United States in the midst of civil war. The government is at war against its citizens who target civilians and kill journalists in the Capitol.
The brief synopsis reads: “A race for the White House in a near-future America balanced on a razor’s edge.” Movie stars Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Jesse Plemon, Sonoya Mizuno AND Nick Offerman like the President of the United States.
Garland wrote and directed Civil War and it seems like a scary vision of America. Garland is the director behind it Ex machina, AnnihilationAND Men, and it looks like he has made another fantastic film that will take audiences on an intense and emotional journey. It’s also great to see Dunst take on the lead role in a movie again!
