Sony Pictures has released two new posters for its upcoming Marvel film Mrs. Web. The first poster shines the spotlight Dakota Johnson as the title character alongside the film’s other main characters. The second poster features only Johnson.
It looks like this movie is going to be terrible, which is a shame! There’s a really good story to tell with Madama Web and these characters. But, for some reason, once again, Sony Pictures has decided to take the story in the wrong direction and this film will be mediocre at best. Sony Pictures hasn’t learned yet.
The posters contained the following notes about X: “The mind has infinite potential. Dakota Johnson is #MadameWeb – coming soon exclusively to theaters.” and “Her web connects them all. #MadameWeb is coming exclusively to theaters soon.”
The film’s synopsis reads: “Separating itself from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the origin story of one of Marvel publishing’s most enigmatic heroines. The suspenseful thriller takes center stage Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a Manhattan paramedic who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to face revelations about her past, she forms relationships with three young women destined for a powerful future… if they can all survive a deadly present.
Mrs. Web even stars Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria), Celeste O’Connor (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), Isabela Mercede (Transformers: The Last Knight), AND Emma Roberts (American horror story), with Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps (The Upshaws), AND Adam Scott (Separation). All this strong talent… wasted.
The film was directed SJ Clarkson (Jessica Jones) and will be released in theaters on February 14th.
