Michael Keaton directs and stars in KNOX GOES AWAY, acquired by Saban Films

Saban Films has announced that it has acquired U.S. rights to the upcoming thriller Knox leavesa thriller directed by and starring Michael Keaton. The film’s screenplay was written by Gregory Poirier (National Treasure: Book of Secrets, The Spy Next Door).

The story of this film actually seems quite interesting as Keaton plays a “contract killer with a rapidly evolving form of dementia. He is offered the opportunity to redeem himself by saving the life of his estranged adult son.

Keaton stars next Al Pacino, James Marsden, Marcia Gay Harden, Suzy Nakamura, John Hoogenakker, Joanna Kulig, Ray McKinnon AND Lela Loren.

This is the second film directed by Keaton. The first dates back to 2008 with the film The cheerful gentleman. It’s great to see Keaton back behind the camera and I can’t wait to see how this new film of his turns out!

The film is aiming for a theatrical release in the United States in early 2024
