Bruce Campbell Want’s Michael Bay will direct SGT. ROCK AGAINST. THE ARMY OF THE DEAD Film after proposing it to Sam Raimi

Bruce Campbell he made his comic book writing debut last year with DC Comics DC Horror Presents: Sgt. Rock vs. The Army of the Dead. Now he wants that comic to be adapted into a movie! He’s already pitched it to Sam Raimi, but it seems like he really wants Michael Bay to direct it.

The story is set in Berlin, 1944. “The Nazis are flanked on all fronts by combined Allied forces, and defeat seems inevitable. In a last-ditch effort to turn the tide of the war, Hitler and his team of evil scientists create a serum that resurrects dead soldiers, creating an army of the dead even stronger than they were in life.

In response, Sgt. Rock, “the hero of the European theater, and his Easy Company find themselves sent into enemy territory to face the strangest and most horrific enemies they have ever encountered: Nazi zombies.”

Speaking about adapting the comic into a film, Campbell told CB: “Man, that’s a Michael Bay movie if I ever saw one. Get one of the Hemsworth guys, get the cheapest one to play Sgt. Rock. It’s a Brad Pitt role. You need that tough, blond guy.”

He added: “Oh my God, I think it’s coming out right now as a graphic novel, they put all the problems together, and I want to put it on Michael Bay’s desk and be like, ‘Man, go ahead, start prepping.” .””

At this point he reveals that he has already proposed it to Raimi, saying: “I gave it to Sam Raimi. I said ‘Sam, your next movie.'” He then suggested that Raimi wasn’t interested in taking part in the project. After all, Raimi may be busy directing more films at Marvel.
