A heartwarming trailer for the drama has been released Memoryas a writer and director Michel Franco (April’s daughter, New order, Sunset). The film stars an Oscar winner Jessica Chastain as a single mother and social worker named Sylvia. Emmy nominee Pietro Sarsgaard he plays a man who suffers from early dementia and can’t remember the life he lives day to day.
The film is also the protagonist Merritt Wever as Sylvia’s younger sister, Brooke Timber like daughter Anna, Jessica Harper as Sylvia’s estranged mother, Josh Charles as Saul’s protective brother and Elsie Fisher like his daughter.
The film’s synopsis reads:
“Sylvia is a social worker who leads a simple and structured life. This is revealed when Saul follows her home from her high school reunion. Their surprise meeting will have a profound impact on both of them as they open the door to the past.
It looks like it will be an incredibly moving film with breathtaking performances from the lead actors. Check out the trailer below and watch Memory on December 22 in New York and Los Angeles, before launching nationwide on January 5.
