Warner Bros. just released the first trailer George Miller’S Furisona: a Mad Max saga and holy shit…this movie looks amazing! Anya Taylor-Gioia takes on the role of Furiosa and now we know for sure that she’ll be one hell of a badass in the role! Let’s see too Chris Hemsworth in action as the villain, Warlord Dementus, and this is so insanely different from anything I’ve ever done before!
This film will take audiences on one hell of a crazy ride and I can’t wait to check it out! Speaking previously about the film, Joy said that Miller considers the next film in the franchise to be an epic, and explained why, saying: “The main thing George and I talked about is that Fury Road is a road movie. You know, and it takes place over, I think, three days: getting somewhere, then turning around and going back. And that’s an epic. It takes place over a long period of time and you kind of get to know [Furiosa] it’s better that way. I love that character so much. The whole experience was stunning and George is the best. I hope [people] have fun.”
In the film, “As the world fell apart, young Furiosa is kidnapped from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a large horde of bikers led by Warlord Dementus. Traveling through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe As the two Tyrants battle for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she marshals the means to find her way home.
The rest of the cast includes Tom Burke, Angus Sampson, Nathan Jones, Daniel Webber, Lachy HulmeAND Quaden Bayles.
Furisona: a Mad Max saga will be released in theaters on May 24, 2024.
