EXCLUSIVE: Here’s one you probably didn’t expect: Sebastian Stan, the Emmy and Golden Globe nominee known for his work in the MCU and the critically acclaimed Hulu miniseries Pam and Tommywas won for the role of a young Donald Trump in The interna new film by Cannes-winning Iranian filmmaker Ali Abbasi (Holy spider), according to various sources.
The intern will examine Trump’s efforts to build his New York real estate business in the 1970s and 1980s and delve into his relationship with infamous attorney Roy Cohn.
News of the project comes as the former POTUS faces fraud charges in New York. While several charges are currently pending in several cases, the twice-impeached Trump has eyed a return to the Oval Office as the current Republican front-runner for 2024.
The author for The intern The project is Gabriel Sherman, whose book The loudest voice in the room and connected New York Magazine articles inspired Showtime’s limited series The loudest voice, starring Russell Crowe as Fox News founder Roger Ailes. Amy Bear (Purple hearts, Jerry and Marge have great success) produces the indie for Gidden Media.
