Universal Pictures has released a full trailer for Atomic Monster, Blumhouse’s new monster supernatural horror thriller. Night swim. The film centers on a family who finds themselves dealing with a nightmarish supernatural presence that resides in the backyard pool of their new home.
The trailer offers new details on the story by revealing the sinister being that terrorizes the pool and begins possessing family members. It looks like it’s going to be a creepy and fun movie!
The film is based on the acclaimed 2014 short film by Rod Blackhurst AND Bryce McGuirethe stars of the film Wyatt Russell (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) as Ray Waller, “a former Major League baseball player forced into early retirement by a degenerative disease, who moves into a new house with his worried wife Eve (Kerry CondonThe Banshees of Inisherin), the teenage daughter Izzy (Amelie Hoeferle, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) and young son Elliot (Gavin Warren, Fear of the Walking Dead).”
In the story, “Secretly hoping, against all odds, to play professionally again, Ray convinces Eve that the new house’s sparkling backyard pool will be fun for the kids and provide physical therapy. But a dark secret in the house’s past will unleash a malevolent force that will drag the family into the depths of inescapable terror.
Night swim is written and directed by Bryce McGuire and is produced by James Wan (See, insidiousAND The evocation franchising) e Jason Blum (Halloween movie, The black phone AND The invisible man).
Night swim will be released in theaters on January 5, 2024.
