Amazon Studios is developing another spinoff for the dark superhero series The boysand it will be a Spanish-language show set in Mexico City.
Plot details for the series have not been revealed, but if the show actually gets the green light, it will be the third live-action series set in the world of The Boys. The other series is the story set in college Gen Valready renewed for a second season.
The series will be produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios. Variety also reports it Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer is attached to write the project. He recently wrote the screenplay for the DC movie Blue Beetle.
The boys creator of the series Erik Kripke will executive produce the series alongside the franchise producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. MoritzAND Pavun Shetty. The report also says so Diego Luna AND Gaël Garcia Bernal would be executive producer.
While we don’t know what the spinoff’s story will entail, there’s no doubt that the show will be just as violent, bloody, brutal, and vulgar as the other shows.
