Cillian Murphy is said to be Marvel’s top choice for Doctor Doom in FANTASTIC FOUR

Marvel casting rumors Fantastic Four will not stop! This latest rumor comes from Hollywood insider MTTSH, and he says so Cilian Murphy (Oppenheimer, Batman Begins, Inception) is now the studio’s top choice to play the villainous role of Doctor Doom in the film.

Mads Mikkelsen He was also said to be up for the role, but the casting didn’t make much sense given that he’s already played a villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kaecilius in Doctor Strange. Other rumors support this Ryan Gosling, Josh Hartnett, Ralph FiennesAND Jason Clarke they are on the list of possible actors.

Murphy has long been a fan-favorite choice for the role, so if he finally lands the role, many fans will be happy. He would be really great in the role, but the villain is not expected to have a major role in the reboot, and there is a possibility that he might only appear in the post-credits scene. But, whatever role he plays in the film, Doom will be considered one of the new great villains of the MCU.

The other casting reports have come in saying this Pedro Pasquale would take on the role of Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, Venessa Kirby (Napoleon) would play Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman, alongside him Joseph Quinn (Stranger things) as Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The bear) as Ben Grimm aka The Thing. Then, there is Anya Taylor-Gioia (The Queen’s Gambit, The New Mutants) who is rumored to be in the running for the role of a mysterious villain.

Fantastic Four will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) from a screenplay by Josh Friedmanwho was brought in to rewrite the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan AND Ian Springer.

Being a project in Phase Six of the MCU, Fantastic Four the release is scheduled for May 2, 2025.
