Warner Bros. has released a new director’s trailer James Wan’S Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. It offers a lot of action-packed new footage and teases that this will be “Aquaman’s Last Stand.” I have no doubt this will be the last Aquaman movie with Jason Momoa as his next DC role is shaping up to be Lobo. This hasn’t been officially announced, but the writing is everywhere.
The trailer also reminds you that tickets are on sale now, so you can purchase them now if you’re excited to see the film. I don’t see much excitement about this though. The trend of superhero movies is definitely on a downward spiral. Regardless, at the very least, it looks like the film will have some interesting action sequences that audiences will enjoy.
In the film, “Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to defeat Aquaman once and for all,” the official synopsis of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. law. “This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever, as he wields the power of the mythical Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former king of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must put aside their differences to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family and the world from irreversible destruction.
Momoa joins Patrick Wilson like Orm, Amber heard like Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the role of Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Dolph Lundgren as king Nereus and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin.
Warner Bros. will release the film in theaters on December 20.
