The writers and directors of Harold and Kumar they’ve been talking about the movie franchise and say a fourth movie is in the works! The same guys who have since created the Cobra Kai series, as well as Netflix’s upcoming action show Deletedthey have a lot of irons in the fire and are looking to revive their star-studded comedy film series John Cho AND Kal Penn. Writers, directors and executive producers Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg AND Josh Heald sat down with ComicBook to promote their upcoming series and talked about Harold and Kumar franchising, saying:
“Well, first of all, we can’t wait to do another one. We’ve been a little busy lately between Cobra Kai and Obliterated. We had dinner not too long ago. About a month ago with John (Cho) and Kat (Penn )”, they told us during the interview. “We’re all thinking about doing another one. It’s just a matter of time. It’s a matter of when it might all fit into our schedule. It’s something we’re all determined to do. We just have to find the time to do it.”
Kal Penn had already spoken to CB about his willingness to return to the franchise and had expressed curiosity about what the next story would be, saying:
“Well, if it’s Christmas they’ve probably been smoking a little, maybe eating some turkey and Brussels sprouts. You know, they’re doing their thing. But they also had kids in the third, right? So they’re probably doing it’s like that’s all they do. I’m also hesitant to answer that question because we all want to do a fourth movie, we just have to find the right time. The 20th anniversary is coming up, so maybe we can figure something out by then.”
