Home improvements was one of those shows that my brothers and I enjoyed watching when we were kids in the 90s. It was simply a lighthearted show that made us laugh. I actually recently started rewatching it because it’s been forever and the comedy still holds up.
Well, it turns out that Tim Allen is talking about the possibility of developing a spin-off revival series. During a recent interview with The Messenger, while promoting season 2 of the Disney+ series The Santa Clauses, Allen was asked about the possibility of a spin-off and said:
“I see Richard Karn often. And I talk to the kids…and I’m there as one of their friends. Let’s keep talking about [a spinoff].”
Karn is the actor who played Al Borland in the series. Allen also shared the concept of what a Home Improvement revival series could be, explaining:
“It’s funny, one of the conversations we had recently was how weird it would be if home improvement projects were for kids’ kids. Like everyone has kids and I’m a grandparent. Home renovation or something. It came out.
If they brought Home Improvement back for some sort of revival, yeah… I would watch it! It would be interesting to see if Allen could get the gang back together. This could be a fun show! What do you think? Would you like to see a home improvement revival?
