EXCLUSIVE: After a surge in reality TV and most recently in fashion retail with her Skims series, Kim Kardashian is ready for another conquest. She is the focus of this weekend’s film package. Kardashian has a penchant for stardom and production The 5th wheel, a comedy pitch written by Paula Pell and Janine Brito. Pell will produce alongside Kardashian, and Deadline has learned that multiple offers have already been made and five studios are vying for the package.
Kardashian became heavily involved in hosting the women’s comedy, showing up at every meeting to deliver the pitch, and studios lined up to do business with Kardashian.
Kardashian has done limited work as an actress, including lending her voice to two Paw Patrol films. She stepped up her game with a stellar role in the final season of FX American Horror Story. Her role as a publicist brought her a lot of attention. Now she wants to build on that and enter the world of cinema. She also has her hit Hulu series The Kardashians.
Pell is the one Saturday Night Live Veterinarian who later worked with Tina Fey on 30 Rock, as well as Amy Poehler and Judd Apatow. Brito lands her first major script after acting wine country, who also played Pell.
