Today I have an amazing poster to share with you inspired by Stanley Kubrickis a classic 1980 horror film The brilliant. The art was created by Adam Rabalis for Hero Complex Gallery, and is titled “A Master of Modern Horror”.
I love this poster and the creepy hands reaching out from the hotel floor towards Jack Torrance. This is a great poster for fans of this film to add to their collection. The poster is a limited edition of 150 and the 24×36 print is available for purchase for $70.
The film is a psychological horror film based on the novel by Stephen King. The story revolves around Jack Torrance, an aspiring writer and recovering alcoholic, who takes the job of winter caretaker of the remote Overlook Hotel. Jack moves into the hotel with his family, including his wife Wendy and their young son Danny, who possesses psychic abilities known as “the shine”. As winter approaches and the hotel becomes isolated, supernatural forces within the building begin to affect Jack’s sanity. The hotel’s dark history and Danny’s psychic visions help create a growing sense of dread and horror.
Jack’s descent into madness and the chilling events that follow create The brilliant a gripping exploration of the impact of isolation, the supernatural and the human psyche.
