Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Robbie AND Stefano Amellis the sci-fi action thriller Code 8 Part II. The first film made was okay, but this sequel had a bigger budget to work with and feels like it could be a better film overall.
In the film: “Connor’s attempt to stay out of trouble is thwarted when he is forced to help 14-year-old Pav (Mermaid Gulamgaus) escape from a pack of corrupt officers led by Sergeant King (Alex Mallari Jr.). King uses the newly launched robotic K9s to track down Pav, while Connor once again finds himself turning to Garrett and his crew for help, but can he trust the man who took him to prison?
Robbie Amell previously said in a statement: “There’s nothing better than working with family and friends. Code 8 he was the embodiment of it. I can’t wait to get back to work on the sequel.”
Stephen Amell added: “Code 8 It’s an incredibly personal and special project for all of us. We built the world in the first one and now we’re ready to blow it up!”
Code 8 Part II was written and directed by Jeff Chan as written by Jesse La Vercombe, Sherren LeeAND Chris Pare. Robbie Amell, Stefano Amell, Jeff ChanAND Chris Paré will produce the project once again. XYZ Films is the executive producer.
The film will be released on Netflix in 2024.
