Last week, it was reported that Marvel Studios was talking about the possibility of bringing back the original Avengers team for a future Avengers film. That report stated that such discussions included the “relaunch Robert Downey Junior.it’s Iron Man and Scarlett JohanssonIt’s the Black Widow.”
A rumor later surfaced saying Robert Downey Junior. AND Chris Evans he has reportedly agreed to return to the MCU. Well, the head of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige was recently questioned about all these rumors and this is what he said ET TO The wonders Before:
“We haven’t discussed it and that’s the truth. We’re doing a project with Scarlett. I love Robert, he’s part of the family. But as far as coming back, we’ll have to see.”
So while he says Marvel hasn’t discussed these things, he concluded with, “We’ll have to see.” It’s not like Feige is going to confirm anything, so we’re going to deny, deny, deny until the truth comes out. I mean, look what happened with Spider-Man: No Way Home. There were denials everywhere until all the rumors and speculations were proven true.
That said, I really don’t think Marvel should bring back Iron Man, Black Widow, and Captain America. I liked how their story arcs ended in the MCU and I’m okay with the films moving forward without them. Marvel just needs to tighten up their storytelling and spend more time working on visual effects.
As for the Scarlett Johansson project, it’s said to be something completely separate from Black Widow. It will be interesting to see what this secret Marvel project ends up being.
