Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans will return for Marvel’s AVENGERS: SECRET WARS

It was recently reported that Marvel Studios was looking to bring back the original Avengers stars for another film. That report specifically mentioned carrying Robert Downey Junior.it’s Iron Man and Scarlett JohanssonBlack Widow returns for some more action. Other original stars that Marvel would like to return include Chris Evans in the role of Captain America, Jeremy Renner in the role of Hawkeye, Marco Ruffalo like the Hulk, and Chris Hemsworth like Thor.

It was reported at the time: “With Iger publicly acknowledging the downside of a glut of Marvel TV that ‘diluted focus and attention,’ the gatekeepers of the comic book empire are considering some dramatic moves. Sources say there have been talks to bring back the original gang for an Avengers movie.

There have since been two new reports from studio insider MTTSH stating this Robert Downey Junior. AND Chris Evans they agreed to return as Iron Man and Captain America Avengers: Secret Wars. If this news is true, the agreements must have been made before the actors’ strike because they certainly did not happen during the strike.

It’s really not hard to imagine any of these characters returning to the MCU, even the dead ones, thanks to the multiverse and alternate variations of the characters running around. This news is just a big rumor at the moment, but it could very well be true. After all, look what they managed to achieve Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Regardless of these rumors, it was previously revealed that the studio “hasn’t committed to the idea yet – if they were able to bring those actors back, it wouldn’t be cheap.”

Avengers: Secret Wars will close out the Multiverse Saga, and fans expect it to be one of the biggest MCU films ever made, with many of the fan-favorite Marvel characters returning.

Secret Wars was Marvel Comics’ first major crossover event series and made its debut in 1984. The story centered on Marvel’s greatest heroes and villains transported to Battleworld thanks to a powerful being known as the Beyonder. It is on Battleworld that heroes and villains can decide once and for all whether good or evil is the greater force.
