Travis Barker says playing drums in Son Landon’s band is a ‘dream come true’

Naturally, Landon enlisted the help of his star dad on the new track. “He asked me to help him with his song ‘Friends With Your Ex,’” Travis continued. “It was an honor to produce it and play the drums.” The 47-year-old even released his son’s new single on his own record label, DTA Records. Additionally, Landon explained why he wanted Travis to help him on his journey in the music industry. “Obviously I wanted to look for help in the right places because I feel like I would be stupid if I didn’t use my resources and those of the people around me,” he shared with the magazine. “So I’ve always tried to take advantage of that and use it to my advantage. Obviously I wouldn’t release one song, one, that. Landon noted that he admires his father’s continued dedication to his craft. “He wakes up early and still goes to the studio even after all his success,” said Travis’ mini-me. “So I took it. No matter what I do, I’m never satisfied and I never stop doing what I love, because that’s how you become great.”
