The Grévin Museum in France recently unveiled a wax figure of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and received a lot of criticism because, well… they made Johnson white! Johnson has since responded with a video of the comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr. roasting the statue.
Jefferson said the museum made Johnson look like a “pebble,” David Beckham, and a member of the British royal family. He also joked: “Is this how you felt when you lost the Little Mermaid?”
Johnson also commented saying, “I will ask my team to contact our friends at the Grevin Museum, in Paris, France, so we can work on ‘updating’ my wax figure here with some important details and improvements, starting with the color of my skin. . And the next time I’m in Paris, I’ll stop and have a drink with myself.
The Grévin Museum also responded by saying: “Dwayne Johnson is right and we have noticed and will obviously remedy this as quickly as possible and send him new photos once they are completed. We are waiting for him when he comes to Paris and to the Grévin Wax Museum to celebrate him with a glass of champagne”.
