It looks like we’ll have to wait even longer before we can watch it Tom Cruise back in action as Ethan Hunt Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, part two. The film was supposed to be released on June 28, 2024, but was pushed back almost a year, to May 23, 2025.
As you may have guessed, the reason for this delay is the actors’ strike. Production on the film has been halted and there is no indication when the strike will end so filming can resume. There are many films whose release dates will be postponed. It’s a shame!
The film comes from the writer and director Christopher McQuarrie, and the story will continue Ethan Hunt’s mission as he tries to defeat a sentient artificial intelligence known as The Entity before it gains too much power and takes over the world. We all know Hunt is going to stop him and I’m excited to see how exactly he does that.
I thought the first movie was great and I imagine this second part will be even better! The big question on everyone’s mind is… what crazy stunts will Cruise attempt to pull off in the sequel? For what stunt will he risk his life?
