DEADPOOL 3 director Shawn Levy says some casting rumors are true

There have been a lot of crazy casting rumors spread online regarding Marvel Deadpool 3. Some of these rumors come from websites that are just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. But, according to the director Shawn Levy, some of the casting rumors that have been reported are actually true. While a guest on SiriusXM’s Jess Cagle Show, the director addressed the casting rumors, saying:

“I love the proliferation of casting rumors on the internet, because I never have to say what’s real and what’s fantasy, so I’ll just follow the cliché ‘no comment’ on anything casting related. [with] Deadpool 3. I’d say we’re lucky on this one. There is certainly… is this an answer? Many of the rumors on the Internet are completely false, but some are not.”

Obviously he won’t reveal which rumors are true, but my educated guess is that the previous casting rumors from reliable sources are the true ones. The ones I think might be true include Halle Berry like Storm, Famke Jensen as Jean Grey, Ben Affleck as Daredevil, Patrick Stewart in the role of Professor Ian McKellen like Magneto, and James Marsden like Cyclops. Then, of course, there is Taylor Swift who will present himself as someone who is not Dazzler.

Some of the other rumored castings include Brian Cox as William Striker, Owen Wilson like Mobius, Lewis Tan as Shatterstar, Channing Tatum in the role of Gambetto, Taron Edgerton like a different Wolverine, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Tara Strong in the role of Miss Minutes, Tom Hiddleston like Loki, Dafne Keen like X-23, Rebecca Romijn in the role of Corvo, Julian McMahon as Doctor Doom, Liev Schreiber like Sabertooth, Daniel Radcliffe like Wolverine, and Channing Tatum like Gambit.

We already knew some of the casting rumors were true thanks to previous comments made by Deadpool’s creator Rob Liefeld, who said: “I’ve been very lucky that people have put things in front of me. And believe me, what I’m saying is, I’ve seen the cast list. I think people are going to be pretty damn stunned, and I won’t say a damn thing more than what I just said.

We’ll just have to wait and see which casting rumors turn out to be true! Confirmed cast includes Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Emma Corrin like the bad guy, Morena Baccarin AND Stefan Kapicic like Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen in an unknown role, Karan Soni as Dopinder, and Leslie Uggam in the role of blind Al. They are united by Brianna Hildebrand AND Shioli Kutsuna will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend, Yukio. This had already been confirmed Jennifer Garner she will return as Elektra in the film.

Levy also said in this recent interview that the film would be an “R-rated bloodbath.” So, there’s something else to look forward to!
