MGM has released a full trailer for the upcoming gothic thriller Salt burner, which is described as “delightfully evil”. The film comes from the writer and director Emerald Fennel in his second film after his 2020 success Promising young woman.
The film is set in the mid-2000s and the twisted drama follows Oxford University student Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan), who is struggling to find his place at Oxford University, and “finds himself drawn into the world of the charming, aristocratic Felix Catton, who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family’s sprawling estate, for an unforgettable summer . “
The film is said to be a “wonderfully wicked story of privilege and desire.” In addition to Keoghan and Elordi, the cast includes Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, Ewan Mitchell, Archie Madekwe, Lolly Adefioe, Reece Shearsmith, Paolo Rhys AND Carey Mulliganprotagonist of Fennell’s directorial debut, Promising young woman.
Salt burner will open in select theaters on November 24 before expanding widely on December 1.
