‘Forgiven’ Trailer: Jessica Chastain and Ralph Fiennes Star in John Michael McDonagh’s Vertical and Roadside Thriller

Vertical Entertainment and Roadside Rides unveiled their trailers today ForgiveStarring Jessica Chastain (armageddon time) and Ralph Fiennes (Geneva)It will hit theaters on July 1st.

Screenwriter and film director John Michael McDonagh (Calvary) is based on the novel of the same name by Lawrence Osborne. It’s about wealthy Londoners David (Ralph Fiennes) and Joe Henninger (Jessica Chastain), who are involved in a tragic accident with a local teenager after passing an old friend’s posh weekend party in the Moroccan desert. With a party rioting late at the grand villa, the couple try to cover it up with the help of local police. But when the boy’s father arrives to seek justice, a tense culture clash ensues as David and Joe must confront their fateful behavior and its devastating consequences.

Forgive It premiered at the 2021 Toronto Film Festival. Vertical broadcasts the film digitally, Focus Features and Universal Pictures International distribute it internationally, while Film4 broadcasts it on UK television.
