Sylvester Stallone posted a tribute to him on Instagram Rocky Buddy Burt Young, who died on October 8, but whose death only became public today.
Young played the tough butcher and brother of Rocky’s lover Adrian in the film series. He is best remembered for opening his meat locker so Rocky could practice pounding the hanging cuts of beef – an unorthodox but effective training method.
“To my dear friend BURT YOUNG, you were an incredible man and artist, I and the world will miss you dearly… RIP,” Stallone wrote, accompanied by a photo of the two of them.
They appeared together in Rocky, Rocky II, Rocky III, Rocky IV: Rocky Vs. Drago, Rocky V, And Rocky Balboa,
