Ryan Reynolds Wants to Appear in IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA and Rob McElhenney Has an Idea for Him

Actors Ryan Reynolds (Dead Pool) AND Rob McElhenney (It’s always sunny in Philadelphia) have already teamed up in real life to buy football club Wrexham AFC, as documented in the FX series Welcome to Wrexhambut the couple, known for their comedic style, would also like to collaborate on McElhenney’s show, It’s always sunny. Reynolds is a fan and would like a cameo, and McElhenney already has a role in mind.

In a recent interview with Buzzfeed (via /Film), the pair were talking about their careers while playing with a pack of puppies, and when Reynolds said he wanted to appear on the show, McElhenney said it was something that could be arranged, and she added, “Mac needs a boyfriend.” While Mac (McElhenney) was teased by Dennis (Glenn Howerton) in season 16, he has not yet been given a boyfriend. Reynolds agreed to play Mac’s hypothetical boyfriend, so that means it could happen in season 17!

That would be a fun storyline to explore, but there are so many more. Whatever they choose to do, there’s no doubt that Reynolds would be funny in an episode of It’s always sunny in Philadelphia! What kind of character would you like to see him play?
