Teaser trailer for the Rick and Michonne spin-off THE WALKING DEAD: THOSE WHO LIVE

A teaser trailer for the spin-off series has been released, The Walking Dead: Those Who Livewhich follows the characters Rick and Michonne. Andrea Lincoln AND Danai Gurira are returning to play the lead roles and will be joined by their returning castmate Pollyanna McIntosh, who will reprise her role as Jadis, who is credited with both saving Rick and taking him away with the mysterious Three Rings organization called Civic Republic Military, or CRM for short. New additions also join the cast Terry O’Quinn like Beale, and Matt Jeffries like Nat.

It’s been more than six years since Rick disappeared from his group, and only a couple since Michonne set out to find him. Showrunner Scott M. Gimple he previously shared that this “epic love story” brings Rick and Michonne together and that it takes place in a never-before-seen location in The Walking Dead universe. “Discovering new individual worlds is critical,” Gimple said, adding that Rick “discovered a new world” when he awoke from a coma in the pilot episode of The Walking Dead.

The synopsis reads:

“The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. From an unstoppable power. From the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrust into another world, built on a war against the dead… and, ultimately, a war against the living. Will they be able to find each other again and find who they were in a place and situation different from what they had ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Casualties? Winners? Without each other, are they still alive or will they discover that they too are the Walking Dead?”

I liked it Walking Dead, and even though I haven’t watched all of the spinoffs, I’m very excited to see these two characters reunited on this show. Check out the teaser trailer below and watch The Walking Dead: Those Who Live on AMC and AMC+ this February 2024.
