THE EXORCIST Director William Friedkin once said he intended to “own” THE EXORCIST: BELIEVER director and “Make his life hell”

Director David Gordon Green’S The Exorcist: Believer it didn’t turn out to be a great movie and many reviews weren’t kind. As a fan of the original film, I was actually looking forward to this new trilogy, but this first film was a huge disappointment as the story told was completely uninteresting. It was like color by numbers in horror movies.

Green recently told the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ A.Frame magazine that he was thrilled to share his film with The exorcist director William Friedkin before dying:

“I couldn’t wait to show it [Friedkin] the film, because I never communicated with him. From what I understood, he didn’t want to be involved in the production of the film, but he would give us his thoughts after the film was finished.”

Well, before Friedkin passed away, he shared his thoughts on Green’s revival The exorcist fto breed. Writer and film critic Ed Whitfield recently shared a funny story about X about a conversation he had with Friedkin before his disappearance. He said:

“William Friedkin once said to me, “Ed, the guy who made these new ‘Halloweens’ is about to make one for my movie, The Exorcist. That’s right, my signature film is about to be extended by the man who made Pineapple Express. I don’t want to be there when that happens. But if there is a spiritual world, and I come back, I intend to possess David Gordon Green and make his life hell.”

So now we know what Friedkin thought of the film project! I just thought it was funny. Regardless, Green and Blumhouse definitely missed the mark The excorist: believer. It was a hard movie to get through because of how bad it was. Plus, I was the only person in the theater when I saw it! It’s not a good sign.
