New synopsis details released from the first episode of STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW

THE Star Wars The television universe is in full swing, with The Mandalorian after giving us its third season last spring, and Ahsoka wrapping up season one just last week. We are now heading towards the start of a brand new series within the same titled timeline and universe Skeleton crew. The series has previously been described as “a galactic take on the classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.”

Now we have a few more details to share that come from the Mandoverse Updates X page. They shared the studio’s first copyright document. According to the doc, a group of four kids make a discovery that is both strange and dangerous and actually forms the crux of the series:

“In the first episode of Skeleton Crew we are introduced to four boys who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet and become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy,” reads the new synopsis. “Finding their way home, meeting unlikely allies and enemies, will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.”

The document also confirms that Jon Watts directed the pilot episode, along with the main cast members Jude Law, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Robert Timothy Smith, Ravi Cavot-ConyersAND Kyrianna Kratter.

It is expected Skeleton crew will take place in the same part of the timeline as Lucasfilm’s other one Star Wars shows on Disney+, with The Mandalorian Creator Jon Favreau he had previously suggested serious characters who appeared in other projects around the same time.
