Funny ONYX THE FORTUNE AND THE TALISMAN OF SOULS Poster Parody THE EXORCIST and SAW

Two new posters have surfaced for the upcoming supernatural horror comedy Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls. The poster amusingly parodies two horror films currently in theaters, including The Exorcist: Believer AND I saw X. Check out the posters below for the film, which was a really silly and fun film.

The film comes from YouTube content creator Weird Satanist Guy, aka Andrea Bowserand is the protagonist and director of the film.

Bowser takes on the role of amateur occultist Marcus J. Trillbury, aka Onyx the Fortuitous, and is struggling. “He is misunderstood at home and at work, but his dreams of a new life seem to be fulfilled when he gets a coveted invitation to the mansion of his idol Bartok the Great for a ritual to awaken the spirit of an ancient demon. He eagerly joins Bartok and his eclectic group of devotees as they prepare for the ceremony, but soon enough it becomes apparent that all is not as it seems. As Onyx and his new friends fight to keep their souls, he must decide what he is truly willing to sacrifice to meet his fate.

In my review of the movie, I said, “The movie is exactly what you’d expect from this guy, and it’s full of Bowser’s signature comedic style. It’s just delightfully silly, supernatural fun! With all the dark and depressing movies I watch at Sundance, this is the kind of movie that makes me breathe a little and rediscover the joy of watching movies once again.”

Onyx the Fortuitous previously had this to say about the film: “I can’t wait to partner with Cineverse and Fathom to bring my film to the big screen! It will go down in history as the GREATEST HORROR TEAM OF ALL TIME. Unless you count Freddy vs. Jason, WHAT I DON’T.

Bowser added: “Onyx started out as a quirky digital character that I hoped would find some sort of audience, even a small one. Seeing the growth in popularity over the last few years has been incredible, and now we’re gearing up for a big theatrical event. It just goes to show that if you’re willing to put your art or yourself out there, amazing things can happen.

The film is also the protagonist Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton, Ralph Ineson, Rivkah Reyes, TC Carson, Arden Myrin AND Melanie Chandra.

Cineverse and Fathom Events will be released Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls in cinemas nationwide on Thursday, October 19 at 7pm and 10pm local time. For a complete list of theater locations, visit the Fathom Events website.
