Vinegar Syndrome has released a trailer for his upcoming crazy horror thriller titled Eight eyes. This is a retro horror that feels like a vintage 70s exploitation film. This is a film that will take audiences on a wild and disturbing journey.
In Eight Eyes, “A mysterious locale interrupts a couple’s vacation in the former Yugoslavia, drawing them deeper into its web of psychic rituals.” As you will see, the film will be overflowing with blood and violence. He seems relieved.
Eight Eyes premiered earlier this year at the Fantasia Film Festival. The festival described the film as follows: “At the breaking point of their dysfunctional marriage, Cass (Emily Sweet) and Gav (Brad Thomas) take a road trip through the former Yugoslavia in an attempt to repair what has soured. After meeting a mysterious local, St. Peter (Bruno Veljanovski), who eagerly offers himself as their guide, the couple embarks on an impromptu sightseeing expedition. However, Cass becomes increasingly troubled by St. Peter’s disturbing fixation on them, as they soon find themselves trapped in a nightmarish descent where supernatural forces threaten their lives!”
Vinegar Syndrome said in a statement: “Photographed entirely in Serbia and Macedonia and on 16mm Kodak film, Eight Eyes draws from European genre cinema and 1970s American horror films to create a nightmarish picture of nostalgia distorted in new crazy shapes. Set in the ruins of the former Yugoslavia, Eight Eyes was developed with significant input from the film’s local cast and crew to ensure an authentic representation of the cultural environment in which it is set, rarely documented on film.
The film comes from the co-writer and director Austin Jennings (The Last Drive-In with Job Bob Briggs), and the story is based on an original idea by Justin Martell. He is the protagonist Emilia Dolce (V/H/S/99), Brad ThomasAND Bruno Veljanovski.
There is currently no release date.
