Johnny Depp has developed an animated film titled Johnny Puff: Secret Mission and today we have a first look at the project to share with you along with some additional details. There’s actually a trailer for the film, but we can’t embed it on the site, so you’ll have to click here to watch it. But we have some photos here for you to see.
In the film, “Johnny Puff helps his Puffin friends as they embark on a secret mission to save their beloved village Taigasville from the evil plans of the villain Otto von Walrus.” Depp obviously takes on the role of Johnny Puff.
It is explained that the characters in the Puffins series “adopt a distinctive dialect, which Depp has previously described as a mix of his own voice and real Puffin sounds.” The film also offers life lessons in the story that include “recycling, environmental protection and team spirit.”
Nestor F. Dennis directed the film and the distribution rights were sold in Europe (Little Brother), Korea (AK Entertainment), Spain (Melies), Portugal (NOS Audiovisuais), the Middle East (FrontRow) and Turkey (Wediacorp). North American distribution discussions are currently underway.
