The 1999 sci-fi comedy Galaxy Quest is a sci-fi comedy favorite of many people. This movie is so wonderfully entertaining and I have revisited it a lot over the years. But I don’t remember ever seeing the deleted scenes from the movie, which seems crazy to me! I was recently doing research for a project and came across this video that I had to share. If you have never seen them before, it will be a real surprise for you!
The star of the film Tim Allen shared over 14 minutes of deleted scenes from the film which you can watch below. The video was accompanied by a note: “It was probably the most fun I’ve ever had working on a film, science fiction has always been one of my favorite genres. Such a professional and focused cast; the rock monster didn’t break character either (and was very concerned about how he looked on camera).”
Deleted scenes in the video include Fred solving a problem in the Berrylium Shere room; The actors around the rock planet; Alex’s motivational speech; Gwen distracts Sarris’ guards; Guy dealing with Sarris and more. They all have great humor in them!
The film was directed by Dean Parisotand he is also the protagonist Sigourney Allen, Sam Rockwell, AND Justin Long. Enjoy the video!
