Featuring the beloved cast of the series, the “Star Wars Rebels 10th Anniversary Variant Covers” will adorn ongoing Marvel Comics issues of Star Wars and Star Wars: Darth Vader between January and April.
Wijngaard said in a statement: “It was an honor to be involved in the 10th anniversary of Rebels, having recently revisited the adventures of the Specters in preparation for Ashoka, this opportunity was perfect timing. We have been absolutely spoiled by the content of Rebels.” these last few weeks and I’m happy to have been able to be part of it in some way.”
The animated series is set between the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith AND Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. The series follows a ragtag group of rebels who band together aboard the starship Ghost to oppose the oppressive Galactic Empire. Ezra Bridger is a central character in the series, a young orphan with Force sensitivity, who joins the crew and begins training as a Jedi under Kanan Jarrus, one of the last Jedi to survive the purge of the Order.
