In the years, Rick and Morty fans wondered if we would ever see a movie. The Simpsons, South ParkAND Bob’s Burgers everyone did it, why not? Rick and Morty? Well, it turns out the co-creator Dan Harmon and Warner Bros. have actually discussed making a Rick and Morty movie!
In a recent profile on THR, it was revealed that before the WGA strike, Harmon had been having a “serious conversation” with WB executives about a feature film Rick and Morty feature film, and “They were all aligned on some sort of ‘super episode’ concept, like that Matt Stone AND Trey Parker approached the South Park movie years ago.
Showrunner of the series Scott Marder he admitted in 2021 that he thinks the film will come out someday saying, “I think it’s going to happen, I think so. It would be daunting. I wouldn’t be shocked if there’s one that comes out of the tube someday. Every episode is a movie. It should be pretty epic.” .”
Not long after, Zack Snyderwho plays Fortnite like Mr. Meeseeks, said he would be available to direct a Rick and Morty movie. He said, “I don’t have a straight comedy that I can think of, you know, it’s like a wall-to-wall straight comedy. If I did the Movie Rick and Morty That’s probably the closest I could get.”
I actually wouldn’t be surprised if a Rick and Morty one day the film was shot. I’d be surprised if Snyder ends up directing it, though!
