Star Wars Jedi star Cameron Monaghan recently confirmed that a third game in the series is currently in development. He shared the news during the Star Wars Jedi game series panel at Ocala Comic Con 2023, saying:

“We are working on the third. We’re doing it right now. It’s a big undertaking and there have been some conversations so far. Hopefully when all things are said and done we’ll be able to come in and do something really cool for you guys again.

Neither developer Respawn Entertainment nor publisher Electronic Arts have officially announced a sequel, but it seems like it’s happening and that Monaghan is very involved in the process. It will be great to see what’s in store for the next chapter of Cal’s story.

This news comes just a few weeks after the director of Star Wars Jedi Games, Stig Asmussen, left Respawn to “pursue other adventures.” So, at the moment, it is unclear who will take the reins of the third chapter.

Asmussen previously spoke about the future of the series, saying: “I’ve always wanted to see it as a trilogy. How can we take Cal and crew to new places beyond what we did in the first game? We had a pretty good idea of ​​the time frame we wanted Survivor to take place in, what the stakes would be, what the tone of the game would be, what Cal would be up against, and how the crew would behave. I’ll take it into consideration. And there are also ideas about what we could do beyond that.”
