A new clip has been released for the upcoming John Wick prequel series The continental. The clip features the Supergirl actress Katie McGrath as The Adjudicator, an agent who has the authority to act and make decisions on behalf of The High Table and The Elder.
The character of the judge was first introduced in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellumand in that film she was played by Asia Kate Dillon. As you will see, he is a ruthless individual.
This is a prequel story set in the 1970s that will offer some background and history on this fascinating world of assassins and the High Table. The Continental is planned as a three-episode event series, each episode lasting 90 minutes. The story of the series will be told through the eyes and actions of Winston Scott, “who is dragged into the hellish landscape of 1975 New York to face a past he thought he had left behind. Winston carves a deadly path through New York’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing bid to take over the iconic hotel, which serves as a meeting place for the world’s most dangerous criminals.
The series is the protagonist Colin Woodell as a young Winston Scott; Ayomide Adegunwho will play a young Charon (based on Lance Reddickthe character of); Peter Greenewearing Uncle Charlie’s fedora (based on the tight-lipped body disposal expert); Mel Gibson like Cormac; Ben Robson as Frankie; Hubert Point-Du Jour like Miles; Jessica Allain like Lou; Mischel Prada like KD; AND Nhung Kate like Yen.
The series was written and produced by Greg Coolidge (Wayne, ride) AND Kirk Ward (Wayne), who also serve as showrunner. David Leitch, Derek Kolstad, Erica Lee, Chad Stahelski, Paul WernickAND Rhett Reese they will also serve as executive producers.
The first episode is now available to stream on Peacock and Starz in the US and internationally on Prime Video.
